HELP! CANON I950 MAGENTA REFILL QUESTION!

Michael Bonnycastle

Hello,
I have my CANON i950, and I decided to go the ink Refill route,
starting with one of those IMS Costco ink refill kits. I have now
refilled all the cartridges with the stuff, however...my printed
photos have a Huge awful Magenta cast to them..useless. The IMS
people have informed that both Magenta and Photo Magenta is a bug with
their inks, not worked out yet..so my question is, DOES ANYONE KNOW OF
BULK INKS IN MAGENTA/PHOTO MAGENTA THAT PRODUCE GOOD COLOR BALANCE FOR
THE CANON BCI6 CARTRIDGE...PRODUCES EXCELLENT PHOTOS?

THANKS!
MIKE

I tried the COSTCO stuff with the same results . . totally useless! At
least I got the stuff out of my S900 before it clogged the printhead,
as some others have experienced.

I bought a refill kit from www.inkjetgoodies.com for my i950 and have been
very pleased. Half of the original Canon cartridges are still in use but
getting low, the other half (photo cyan, photo magenta, and black) have
been replaced but no color shifts that I can see yet. YMMV...

Later,
Dave

Thanks Dave....all seemed fine when I still had half the originals
like you said, but the Magentas were the last to go...and I refilled
them...bad color balance, way too Magenta (red), then I replaced those
cartridges with two new aftermarket Magenta/Photo Magenta cartridges
produced by Bestbuyink.com, still the same. So, I have ordered now
from www.Inksupply.com(MIS) and will see..they assure they have
matched the Canon.
I want to see if there is a bulk supplier out there that can give
excellent photo color, like the originals, which arn't economical.

Man, costco should fix this. What a problem. If I bought those inks from
costco and put them in my printer, and it screwed up my magenta, I'd make
them buy me a new printer. The ink has contaminated my colors. I'd be
thoroughly pissed, especially if Costco recommended the tanks for your
specific printer.
