I've tried everything I can think of - gone to microsoft and searched more than a few times in the Knowledge Base. But I still can't get my win XP computer to connect to my domain!
here's what happens: When I try to browse and use the Network Neighborhood, I see my domain in the list. But when I click on it, I get the message "(DomainName) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions." I'm logging in as a user with Administration permissions, and the same user name logs in just fine from another XP box... the settings are also exactly the same as the other computer
I've tried eliminating the computer name from the network, and changing my computer to a new name. but when I try to change the computer's name it says "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.."
I'm not using any DNS settings, and I've tried enabling NetBIOS over TCP/IP as per a microsoft knowledge base article
Anyone have any ideas? will wiping my network settings and re-exstablishing them do anything?
