"Help and support" is not working

Just installed a new computer for my brother, and although everything else
seems alright "Help and support" doesn't work. When I try to start it we
just see a brief hourglass and then nothing.

We've tried
helpctr -regserver
sfc /scannow

We've also installed sp1a and all available critical fixes from Windows
Update.

Can anyone here help?

This will fix it. Don't use that reg cleaner again.....lol


reinstall Help and Support:
C:\Windows\inf\pchealth.inf. RT click and choose
install. Have your CD handy.

You have to un-hide this folder.

We haven't used a regcleaner. this problem was there right after a new
install from a MSDN-cd.

But the symptoms are the same and I can't see anything in the script that
can make anything worse, so we'll try it.
