HELP - AD replication and FRS problems

Hi,

We are in a proper mess and i don't know where to go.
Our AD is replicating users and computers ok between 7
sites, but when i check event viewer it is showing many
errors. I have event id 1265. I think this is because
one of the guys rebuilt this dc without running dcpromo
and demoting it first. AD still thinks it is a domain
controller and everything is trying to replicate to it.

Also FRS is not running properly. Getting event id 13562
and 13508. Login scripts are not being replicated across
all of our servers. I hae checked out KB:312862 but not
sure if this is what i should be doing.

The reason this has been brought to light was when our
exchange server went down today and could not be logged
back on (saying password incorrect). When we switched
off the main server it was able to logon. Unfortunately
the main server is our only global catalog so until we
got this back up our exchange server was down.

Hope all this makes sense. I know you will probably need
a lot more information to offer any sort of help, so i
will provide this as and when needed!!

Hi,

Just to update you. I used ntdsutil to remove the
offending server. This seems to have resolved the 1265
errors for the moment. Still confused about the FRS
though.

Any ideas?? Please!
