I can't seem to get my Windows XP Home ed. reloaded onto my new
motherboard/processor and HD. I just upgraded all of these, but after
reinstaling Windows on the new harddrive , I get the error message "NTLDC is
missing". Now what?

Can't give you a technical answer, but as a non-tekkie, I
can tell you I've run into this a number of times myself,
and finally solved it by installing 98 first.

But if you are "up" on a computer at the moment, it would
probably be very good to do a search and some study.

You might let some of the rest of us know what you find out.

Good luck!

It happens when your "master file table" becomes fragmented to the point
that it is no longer readable.(The XP defragmenting program does not defrag
this).
Here is a tool to help cure your ills.

Method #2 from a post by Will Denny.

Boot with your XP CD in the cd drive. Select 'To repair..' by pressing 'R'.
When in the Recovery Console type the following:

"copy X:\i386\ntldr C:\" - without the quotes.

Where X is the letter of your CD drive and C is the letter of your system
drive. Take the XP CD out of the cd drive and reboot into XP normally.
