Header Size

Hi

I created a header in a word document and the dotted line denoting the area
of the header fitted snugly around the type.

Then I cut and pasted some text from another document into it. No problem.

However, when I cut and pasted some more text onto page two, the dotted line
around the header tripled in size so that when I clicked off the header, the
first line of type started way down the page. Normally, I can go to the end
of the header type, press the delete key a few times and the dotted line
shrinks back to the type. But it isn't working for me today. Does anyone have
the answer to solving this problem?

Many thanks

Check to make sure that the vertical alignment is not set to Center (Layout
tab of Page Setup). If it's set to Top, make sure that the last paragraph of
the header doesn't have Space After.
