header and footer options

Hi there,

I would like to insert into the header and footer a
combination of lines and text that is our logo, so I need
to be able to format it somewhat. I have it in word layed
out in the header, but the excel header and footer options
work quite differently. How can I achieve that?

Also how can I make the same header/footer for the entire
document (I have different sheets, but the header footer
are different unless I customize each one of the to look
the same. The drop down menu below doesn't give me an
option to select the header from another sheet.

thanks in advance

For the first question:
1. What I have done is put what I need in the body of a
word document (not the header of word) then copy and
paste. Once in excel's header, paste....... it works fine.
2. If you have pasted your info into the custom header it
goes in all sheets of the book......

Hi Ben,
FWIW, my replies were all drawn from or added to my page,
which has undergone two site changes from AOL to Geocities to mvps.org
Logos and Graphics into headers/footers

I have no idea how much work is involved pasting into Word, but might
mention that you can only put a black and white logo into header or footer.
While there is free software to make your own font much easier, as time
goes on, it should
also be noted that Excel 2002 can put pictures into headers and footers,
but there still are restrictions on headers and footers that you won't like
concerning margins. Your best representation may still be a cover
page with your company letter head and preprinted paper with watermarks
if you are talking about 100 reams of paper, for instance, the cost of
printing isn't going to add much to the price of the paper.
