HDTV Wonder - Remote not working

I have an HDTV Wonder card and can't get the remote working. The remote is
a Remote Wonder Plus. ATI said to download the latest drivers but didn't
tell me where to find them or what they're called. I installed the Remote
Wonder II drivers. When I plugged in the USB receiver, Win XP tried to
install software but couldn't find what it was looking for on my computer or
on the install CD. The device manager says to re-install the drivers. ATI
won't respond to my email for additional info. Not very happy with ATI now.
Don't think I'll be buying anything else from them in the future!

Does anyone know what the software or drivers are called? When I start the
Remote Wonder software it says version 3.1.

HELP!!

You find them on the ATI web site. They're called "Remote Wonder Software &
Drivers".

Go to the ATI site. That's <http://www.ati.com>. Click the big button that
says "Drivers & Software". Click "Windows XP Drivers and Software". Click
"Remote Controls". Click "Remote Wonder Software & Drivers". Click
"REMOTE WONDER Software Version 3.01.0.0 (ENGLISH)".

Did you at least _try_ to do this?

Another note: Make sure you uninstall all previous versions of the ATI
Remote Wonder before trying to install the latest version. Don't
assume that the install procedure will do an update. Manually
uninstall any copy of the ATI Remote Wonder drivers before installing.

I uninstalled the remote driver and downloaded and installed the Remote
Wonder 3.01.0.0 drivers. Re-booted the computer, plugged in the USB Rx and
it said New Hardware Found. Then searched for drivers and couldn't find
them. So now still doesn't work. Device Manager says the USB Rx drivers
are now installed. If I try to re-install the drivers from the Device
Manager, I need to know what the drivers are called to search for them.

The drivers are under Control Panel\Add and Remove Software\ATI Remote
Wonder. Just do a repair re-install.

Good catch. I missed the "plus" part in the OP.

Urrggg - this is getting aggrivating! I originally installed the Catalyst
Software that came with the card. The remote didn't work - Device Manager
said the drivers weren't installed. So I did a re-install from device
manager and it said it couldn't find the drivers on the CD. Also couldn't
find them on my HD. I asked ATI about the RW Plus not working and they told
me to download the latest drivers and re-install. Still no remote. Where
do I find drivers for RW Plus??? If they're on the original CD, what are
they called so I can search for them? Maybe I should take the card back and
see if they have one with Remote Wonder 2?? Is the Plus a lost cause? ATI
sure isn't helping?

Well, personally I trashed the whole lot and got a copy of Media Center
Edition with the MCE remote. You lose the transparent windows and so on
but the whole thing has been pretty stable. Plus the MCE remote is
infrared so I can control it with the same universal remote that I use for
the TV and VCR.
