HDD READ PLEASE AND RESPOND

hi everyone, my computer does not detect an operating system, so i tried
installin windows xp rite, after the setup it said that it could not find any
hard drives installed in my computer even tho there was one connected, so i
bought a new hard drive and the same problem happens, what do i have to do to
fix it. i need this asap.

first off...you need to see if the HD can be detected by the bios...
usually AUTO works

also : your data cable might be bad...so try replacing it
