hdd not working

I have a Ibm hdd 40gb that is not working - it spins, but does not
show in win2k/bios.
I know it's not jumper, master/slave or anything like that.

What I need is a programme which can "find" the hdd even though it
doesn't show - if it exist?

Have tried some progs but all need the hdd to be shown in the first
place.

Thanx for all help - if I get any

IBM disks come with software which is quite good. You can download it from
their site, I think its called Disk Manager. Also Maxtor has MaxBlast wich
is pretty good.

If it isn't in the bios, nothing will ever see it. You either have a cable,
bios/config issue or a bad drive.
