hdd is full

my internal hard drive is full to capacity and kepps telling me about it. so
i bought an external hard drive to help it out, but i dont know how to move
things to the external, to regain space on the main internal. any suggestions
will be greatly appreciated.

If you get an external hard drive, it's more or less up to you what you wish
to put on it.
I would look at my internal drive (the full one) and see what is filling it
up.
For instance, if you have a lot of music files, those would be good
candidates for moving onto the new drive.
But understand, you should not move "Program Files", or "Windows" files as
much of there contents is referenced by registry keys.
Moving registered components will cause things to break.
However, if you do find that the bulk of your drive space is occupied by
large programs (games?) -
then you do have the option of uninstalling those programs, and then
reinstalling them on the new external drive.

You can also adjust the amount of space reserved for your recycle bin,
remove windows components you don't use, and empty your temp folders.

If you wanna movies massive amounts of data (i.e. pics, mp3s, etc...) I
would check out xxcopy and download the free version. Its better than
xcopy in my opinion. Its gotta lot of useful switches.
