HD Trashing when Outlook 2007 is open

Any ideals with this problem:

HD Trashing when Outlook 2007 is open or I have paused for about 10 minutes.
like on the phone. It stops when I close outlook 2007 or while typing this
message.

It should stop once it is done indexing. If your pst is big, that can
take a day or two though.
