HD seems to be lost

I have a 300 Gb HD, trouble is this: after reformatting
the system HD on my computer windows doesn't seem to
recognize the 300Gb drive... I have a 200 Gb that's
working, so it has to be something other than support of
size. What is the error you might ask, well... my HD on
300Gb containing lots of data appears, in windows, to be
a unformatted 128Gb HD, how do i fix this?

i know the HD hasn't been swapped by the evil gnomes, i

What does Disk Management report? Right click on My Computer, select
Manage. On the following screen, click on Disk Management. Did you assign
a drive letter?
