Bought Twin WD 250 GB hd but both only show 232 GB available slot total???

You're seeing a differences in the definition of what a Gb is.

Drive Manufacturers Gb = 1,000,000,000 bytes
Windows Gb = 1024^3 = 1,073,741,824 bytes

250 Gb (Drive Manufacturers) = 232 Gb (Windows)

WTF indeed.... how about calculating the difference between a decimal
gigabyte (which is what the dealer sold you), and a binary gigabyte
(which is what the computer sees)....
