I recently attempted to install a second operating system alongside my XP
Pro. Compatibility problems with a piece of hardware and SP2 prompted me to
want to install 2K. When it asked the partition (I had the drive partitioned
in two) I selected the same as XP. After selecting next, a pop-up in red
font asked me if I was sure I wanted to do this. I knew that wasn't good, so
I selected cancel.
When my system rebooted, it did not recognize my drive and asked for a
system disk.
My question is, have I lost my partition tables and therefore have to
reformat and start over again?
