hd not viewable using Windows explorer

This is really bizarre, I have a multiple boot system
ME/W2k/XP I have been able to view all my hd's with all
systems until just recently, I installed XP about a week
ago, and have been working on creating slip stream XP with
SP1, and copying files to this one HD, under XP things
went fine till I booted back to W2k, suddenly I cant see
this one hd, using WE, I can see it using disk management
and I checked security to ensure all have authority, they
do, I booted back to XP and checked security there, all
viewers can access the drive, sharing is allowed, I even
tried marking it private, booting, and then changing it
back to sharing all users, still can't see it under w2k
using WE, but can be viewed using disk management,
properties show as healthy and active, it's only used as a
data partition, it seems xp in writing to this drive has
changed the properties of security somehow and I cant get
it back.. any suggestions???

Nevermind, I found out what the problem was, for some
reason it deleted the drive letter, so I just assigned
another drive letter and was able to view it.
can't figure out why this happened...
