HD Has Gone Missing [Cont'd]

Thanks for your replies, everyone. Still working the problem.

Primary IDE cable has ZIP [Drive D] and HD #1 [C:]. Secondary
IDE has CD-ROM [E:] and HD #2 [F: everywhere but "My Computer"
in second HD where it's D:]. All jumpers are set to cable select.
I installed Windows XP-Home after the second hard drive was
installed; the Windows installation disc recognized both hard
drives and when I boot up Windows first asks which system
I want to choose [XP Professional or Home[. Again, any help
is appreciated.

It's not clear here what the problem is...your topic says the HD is missing,
but this is saying that Windows recognizes both drives. Are you just trying
to change the drive letter?

No, I'm trying to get the second hard drive recognized in the
"My Computer" folder on the primary C: drive so I have
access to both drives. For some reason, the "My Computer"
folder just won't pick up the second hard drive.

I joined this party late, so I don't know what was suggested earlier, but
let me ask this question: Have you partitioned and formatted your second
hard drive?

Yes, I have. Windows XP Home is on the secondary hard drive;
Windows XP Professional is on the primary hard drive. Both are
recognized when I first boot up; but, not to beat a dead horse, the
new secondary hard drive is not included in hard drives listed in
the "My Computer" folder on primary drive C:. I'm baffled.
