My computer has stopped working and so I put my hard drive in my parents PC.

I have 5 sectors on the 160Gb HD and before my computer stopped working I had no problems with it on my parents PC.

Now, the final sector is missing from the additional drives list on my parents PC and every so often a warning comes up:

Error
[High Priority] Unable to successfully reconcile chances since the last session.
Unable to enumerate the current drives on this system

Does anyone know what this means?

Cheers,
Steve

I'm sure you have a bad HD ... I advise you to run a hard disk check utility, not chkdsk, but the drive's manufacturer's to see if your HD is naff.

Please do not double post, you will not get two answers. ;)

Ok I'll run the check...but what about my other query...I still need to get my documents off the hard drive to work on while I sort the problem out...hence my other post.

If, the check come back ok, then you'll need to take back permission of the files.
