HCT Submission Utility Problems

C

cd

When I start up the HCT and try to load a HCT 11.2 CAB file I get the
following errors:

Connection Failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server Error: 53
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (Connect())
Connection Failed:
SQLState: '08001'
SQL Server Error: 17
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or
access denied

when I click OK on the message box, I get a SQL Server Login dialog to log
into server cdickens-srv with userid piledriver trying to get into database
PileDriverDatabase for the PileDriver Application.

Why is it asking for all of this? Why does it need to access a SQL server?

Hi CD,

You are using an outdated version of the HCT Submission review tool. Please
download the latest version at
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hwtest/default.mspx

On the right hand side you will see the link for
HCT Submission Review Utility and Procedures
(1.3 MB EXE file; July 14, 2003)

Thanks,

Robert, that is the file I downloaded (digital signature dated Tuesday, July
08, 2003 6:17:34 PM). Download it yourself and see that it unpacks a utility
whose version is 1.1 and whose date is 9/2002.

Hi CD,

The owners of the tool are in the process of making an update and reposting
it. I have no ETA currently. Please watch for an announcement for the
updated release of the tool.

Thanks,
