Having trouble with Trademark output in Headers

I have a Word document with headers and footers that have a Trademarked name
in them. When I publish it to pdf format, the headers and footers put a
capital P around the trademark...... PTMP. I'm sure it has to do with the
field codes in our headers, and how it converts them to pdf, but I'm not sure
what to look for. Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks!

No.

What _kinds_ of field codes have you in your header, especially round
the TM. Does the TM consist of two separate letters, or of one symbol?
From where did you insert that symbol? What's your version of Word, and
by what means are you transforming to PDF?

Thanks for responding. We use Acrobat to generate the pdf and the Word (2003)
file is actually generated from AuthorIT, so we've determined that it's most
likely how AuthorIT is publishing the file and generating the
headers/footers. Therefore, it's not so much a Word problem anymore.
