Having to double click to maximize

When I minimize my IE browser, I either have to double click the minimized
icon on the bottom of the screen, or right click on it and click restore. I
only have to do so when one browser window is running. What can I do?

If I understand you??

Close all windows EXCEPT the one that open "minimized"; right click on your
Task Bar, either on the open space on the right or left end (your choice);
select "Tile Windows Horizontally" and IE will maximize; close IE. Re-open
IE and it will be maximized.
