Having problems with color print-out.

I am using a HP color LaserJet 4550. Recently updated to Windows XP
Professional and am experiencing difficulties with color printing in
PowerPoint. My background is to be light greay, but prints out greenish.
Also, colors with shading print out very dark and blotchy. Never had a
problem until I updated. Also, I have upgraded system at home and am using a
HP Photostat printer and everything prints out as viewed on monitor??? Our
office Computer consultant has upgraded printer driver and can't figure out
the problem. Colors print out fine in all other software but PowerPoint.
Does anybody have a clue as to how to fix this problem?

Thanks.

Shading as in gradients or something else?

Is this one of their bi-lingual printers (ie, one that can run in either PCL or
Postscript mode)? If so, try installing a driver for whatever mode you're not
using now and give it a run.
