having problems booting

I have a system that i replaced the hardrive in.....when
i restart the system, i select safe mode, boot normally,
last known good configuration.....i've tried all the
options, after each one it hangs and freezes the computer
up.

any suggestions
 
Actually yes... The HDD replacement shouldn't be a problem to Windows...
Perhaps the HDD is damaged or broken....... This is what you should do:
Go to your HDD Manufacturer's site and download the TEST! The test is
usually application that creates bootable floppy disk... make that floppy
disk and boot from it. Run Advanced or Burn In test. If it reports an error,
write the error and return that HDD to the place where you bought it and tell
them which error is it. If the HDD passes the test then maybe the problem is
software-related (something that you've installed) If it is so, take your PC
to PC Service and get the Windows reinstalled...
 
The drive is most likely not broken. Is this new drive jumpered as
Master and how did you transfer your data over to it? Is the drive
recognized in the BIOS? If you just copied all of your data from the
old drive to the new one, you may need to do a repair installation.
What does it hang on when you try to do Safe Mode?
