Having Difficulty importing contacts into Outlook from excel or cs

I keep getting the following message when trying to import contacts from
excel or csv files: "Microsoft Outlook cannot start the required translator.
The feature is not currently installed, would I like to install it now? I
click yes and nothing happens. Help..........

Install it yourself from the Office CD.
Method varies with your version, which you never mentioned.
I'm sure you can figure it out.
