Having a prob getting my HD to detect on the raid IDE's any help would be great.

I have an A7v266-e with raid Bios Rev 1.07. i think.

For some reason it wont detect a HD on the raid IDES.


I need this to work as i want to raid my system.

No point buying the HD's if they wont even be detected now is their.

Just like to know what the settings should be it has worked in the
past, not raid just connecting and booting from the Raid IDE
connectors.

Going to buy a new ATA 100 ide cable and see if thats the trouble.

The thing is i get ATA 5 off the normal IDE connectors just fine so
i'am not sure thats the problem, maybe somthin ghas just gone BOOM or
just worn out.

Any help anyone else had this problem.

i realy want to get 2 seagate barra Iv's and raid 0 them or is that
Raid 1 the simplist one

just to see what the fuss is about.

Check and double-check the jumpers on the drives. Make sure they are both
master and that you have each on it's own cable and port.
