Have two templates with in a powerPoint presentation

How does powerPoint figure out which one to use. I am trying to set up a
template using a couple of scenarios of the bullets type and its placement
etc. Would that mean setting up two master pages?

Is there any way to lock down certain things, for instance the top placement
of the text???????


Any references you can send my way I would appreciate it.

Hi Kate

Multiple master pages would be a better choice for usage of different
scenarios. And there is no option to lock the objects in PPT and not even the
guides.
