Now that MSN 6 is out with a lot more features than Windows Messenger (wm) I
find myself wanting
to use MSN6 as the integrated IM client in Ooutlook Express. Is there a way
of having OE use MSN6 to determine
who (if any) of my contacts are online?
What I want is basicly:
- Disable Windows Messenger
- Install MSN Messenger 6
- Have MSN 6 launch when I launch OE.
- Have OE using MSN6 instead of WM to determine if my contacts are
online/offline.

Possible? A step-by-step guide would be gratly appreciated!

I have winxp pro installed.

Sincerely

Morten

Greetings Morten,

Unfortunately you can't have Outlook Express show your MSN Messenger 6 contacts, but you can
stop Outlook Express from loading Windows Messenger 4.x. To do so, close Outlook Express,
then download and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/stopmessenger_oe.reg

So If I just use MSN Messenger 6, I won't see online contacts in the
"contacts-part" of Outlook Express?
