have locked my pc how do i unlock it as i have forgotten my password

can anyone please tell me how to unlock my pc as i clicked
ctrl alt and del at the same time and it locked me out of
my pc now i cant log back in and have a limited number of
options please help this is of vital importance

Hit ctrl-alt-del again to see password screen.

If you forgot the password then you'll have to log in as another user with
admin rights.
