I had the virus gibe b which my anti-virus program removed. I also
check manually.

But I still keep getting approx 90 emails such as the MS security.
What should hppen after the virus has been removed? Should the emails
stop? How do I stop these virus emails?

Chris...

It's other people who have it sending it to you.

When they clean their computers it will stop.

I would suggest that you complain to your Internet provider. Send
them the complete headers of the viruses you have received.

Many providers use some kind of block lists to reduce the amount of
spam you receive. In addition, they can put up temporary block lists
for other types of abuse like this virus.

I'm having the same problem, I emailed my service provider and they said
they can't do anything to stop email getting to me. I felt like telling
them a thing or two... It's SO frustrating. And I'm not even running
windows I turn my computer off at midnight, get up at 7am and find about
140 spam emails in my inbox!

Yes, there are things they can do. Maybe it takes some more money, or
expertise that they don't have, or maybe they're worried about
privacy. All of these are surmountable.

Personally, I would call them on the phone. Tell them that they have
two days to start fixing the problem or you'll be an ex-customer.

That threat may motivate them, maybe not, but at least ... I have
found that it motivates ME to find a better alternative.

Leandra,
As long as you have an email address, you can get the emails. It isn't
Windows and it doesn't matter if you have your computer turned off most of
the time. Your emails keep getting stored on your Email server and are
retrieved when you go online and log in to it.
You can download and install some anti-spam programs or perhaps use your
email client to set some 'rules' to govern what gets through and what
doesn't.
