Have had the same unable to send problem

Since initial transfer from Outlook Express to Windows Mail I have had no
outbound communications. Receive the same message after countless attempts to
rectify the situation:
Subject 'test', Account: 'Bigpond Broadband Email', Server:
'mail.bigpond.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 SIZE 15728640',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D
Have Norton 360. Does not appear to be the culprit as I actually uninstalled
it and tried again only to get the same response.
Downloaded Vista SP2 in hope of a solution but none obvious.
The above is the result of sending myself a test message.
Please help! Mail is building up.

I don't think your mail server supports the SSL option.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then uncheck the SSL option.
