I'm curious to know if the installer gives you the option to NOT install IE7
and Media Player 11.

Neither of those are part of any service pack.

I hope that doesn't mean I have to uninstall IE7 & MP11 before upgrading to
XP SP3.

Why would you think you'd have to do THAT?

SP3 is a"roll up"of all the updates so far +one or two things that you would
not know were there if not told.
It's not going to give you anything that you don't already have regarding
OE, IE and WMP.
It will not add anything that is obvious to a regular user.
No different look to Windows......

Will it include WGA?

Alias

It gives you no options. It just installs. Programs like WMP, IE, etc. are
called "bundled programs" and bundled programs are not upgraded by an OS
service pack. Bundled programs have their own upgrades from time to time.
