I downloaded The workshop manual for an Epson Stylus Color 800 from them
for a very reasonable price.

USER manuals for all HP printers can be downloaded from www.hp.com

Unfortunately, HP is one of the few industry hold-outs who do not put
service manuals online :(

That is not correct. Only user manuals for later model printers are
available on the HP site.
 
I thought about paying for these files (ebay ect) but thought why pay
a parasite when these documents were originally free ( HP has in their
wisdom remove docs for the 'older' printers)

Has Anyone a copy of the PDF file they could send me/ post to the
newsgroup ?
