hardware wizard keeps popping up on reboot

After installing a Lexmark E323 printer, and SP4, the
found new hardware wizard pops up on re boot. The drivers
have already been installed & the printer prints fine. How
do I correct this??

I'm having the same issue, installing an HP

LaserJet2300. I have a Windows 2000 machine, each time
it reboots, it tries to reinstall. I changed the BIOS to
allow for ECP/Bidirectional, I turned off Plug N Play in
BIOS. I even uninstalled my antivirus software to see if
this was causing the problem. None of that worked, if
any one else has had this issue and knows how to fix it,
that would be great!
 
When the new hardware alert pops up, can't you select
Cancel so it doesn't come back again?
