Hello guys, well my problem is that Windows 2000 do not recognize my
Intel pro 100 connection, what happend is that I downloaded several
times the driver and do not work, I uninstalled and install the device,
over and over again and nothing, my computer is a toshiba laptop.
here is the device failure detail: "This device is not working properly
because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"
So, again guys, this is unusual to happend, but like I said before, I
installed the proper drivers for this device and is not working, what is
going on in my computer?, thanks.

PD: I believe that maybe I have to go to the System32 folder and do
something there, but I don't know if to delete perhaps drivers that are
installed and not working properly, but I need your comments guys
because I'm a new user and I don't know well how to work in the system
files of windows, thanks.

There is a very simple solution. Use the Add/Remove
Hardware applet in Control Panel and install the Intel
Pro 100 network driver that is supplied in the Windows
2000 cdrom. No problems at all.

The Intel Pro 100 is pretty much a hardware standard and
there have been very few complaints about it in Windows
2000. Check the IRQ assignments for the Intel NIC. And
also whether or not the computer's bios setup has the
PnP bios setting disabled, or off. Finally, there is the
possibility of a duff NIC.
