Hardware scroll button does not work in Word 2007

Just upgraded to Office 2007 Ultimate and when I try to scroll through a
document in Word 2007 with the scroll button on my laptop (IBM x41t) nothing
happens. My scroll button works in every other program. I have a friend
with a Dell and his trackpad scroll doesn't work either in Word 2007, but
works in all other programs.

Anyone know anything about this? I would be shocked if that kind of support
wasn't included or that a bug like this could get out. I haven't been able
to find out anything else about it.

Thanks

If you've already checked for updated drivers for your mouse then in the control panel for your IBM laptop check the mouse control
software to create an exception for Word 2007 to the 'Universal scrolling' feature.

Also check to see what add-ins are running. Laserfiche and Paperport are two that can cause a similar problem.

, Then I had the same problem on my TP1300 older model just ordered X60, I
think the problem is the same, I found that by going to the mouse in control
panel, then clicking on TrackPoint, then clicking settings under "Choose
Scrolling or Magnifying Function" then changing "Scrolling Type" from
"Standard" to "Auto-select" made the scroll function work in "Word 2007". I
also found the smooth selection worked.
