Hardware Profiles blank on W2K Pro

On a Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop - if you go into hardware
profiles, none are listed. You can't add one as there is
no option for that. Any info greatly appreciated.

This little program gives all the hardware and all
the software and all the Service Packs, and tells
you if they are needing attention, like needing to
install something again.
