hi,I am running Microsoft XP Pro on one of my computers ,but since yersterday
I can not boot up . the computer tries to restart over and over again . when
I trun on the computer,it starts checking the memory and showing the boot
sequence (primary slave, secondary slave and so on),then I get an error
message reading : Hardware monitor found an error.Enter power setup menu for
details. when I do that I see the CPU tempreture read out in RED.
it reads: CPU Temp : 91 c\195 F (this is in SETUP under POWER). the only
option that I get is to change it's value to : "Ignore" which doesn't help.
I have tried to restart the computer : "safe mode" , "safe mode with
prompt","last known good config","start windows normaly"....and everytime it
takes me back to loading up the memory and stuff. I changed the boot
sequence from the setup menu to my CD-ROM and used the Microsoft XP Pro cd ,
but it doesn't do anything,it keeps taking me back to the load up screen.
I don't know what to do and I don't know why the CPU Temp is in RED. And
how to fix it. I would really appreciate any help that I can get.

Hi Mig,

if it is working or not put your hand Behind the Power suply and see if you
feel any Air coming out from it,your system Is Overheated, what your
Anti-Virus Status and Adware too,if the Fan working, try to Do Full Scan for
Both Scum of life (Viruses&AdWares),if clean, you need a good Cooling Fan Very

Hi nass:
thank you for your reply. as far as the cooling system goes,Yes the fan is
working and I can hear the fan working. But as far as doing a full scan for
the "scums of life",I can't ,because at the start up ,I'd get that error
message : "hardware monitor found an error.Enter power setup menu for
details" where I'd see the CPU temp in red :91 C/195 F . it keeps taking me
back to the boot up/start up (blue screen) , with only two options: Press F1
to continue ( which starts the whole process again,"checking the memory and
stuff " or press Delete to go to the setup. That's it nothing I can do from
there either. Any more suggestions ?

Hi Mig,
Could you Go to safe Mode?,if you could, then try to scan in Safe mode, how to
go to Safe mode when you boot up Pree F8 and when you represented by the
Screen chose Safe mode and press Enter.
To get A Scanner go to these links from the same computer you are wrting
from with a blank Floppy disk;

Hi nass:
Thank you very much for your reply again.
Unfortunately I can not get to start my computer in " Safe Mode ", "Last
known good config" or any of those options from that screen. I'd get to that
screen with those options and when I try any of those options ,it'd take me
back to the start up option running the memory and stuff. It's just like a
vicious cycle. keeps doing the same thig , no matter what option I choose,I
always wind up in the same place. I even tried to change the boot sequence to
read the CD ROM first ,so I can load the windows XP Pro all over again to no
avail. It tries to read it but nothing happens.
it is really frustrating. I know you should probably feel the same. Do you
have any other suggestions? Nass I really appreciate your concern. I hope
you can come up with something...I am out of
