hardware failure

I upgraded a win 98 built system in 2001 to windows xp, I
continually get a blue screen, telling me that I have a
hardware failure, and to notify my hardware vendor. they
can't tell me anything, it always passes all the test's.
How can I determine which piece of hardware is not
compatible with xp?
help me anyone

Russ, not knowing anything about your system I would recommed that you
first check the Graphics Card drivers.
