i recently bought vista full edition and installed on a brand new computer. a
lot of hardware that i had bought does not seem to be compatible with vista,
especially creative sound cards. although creative has released beta drivers
for vista, things are not the same they used to be. i have lost my 5.1 hd
audio output and despite taking measures like buying a better sound card and
searching microsoft for updates have been of no help. i am now thinking of
changing my motherboard to have 5.1 audio output. my question is whether this
kind of hardware change is allowed by microsoft since a lot of performance in
terms of audio and video output has been affected? will i have any problem
whatsoever if i do any major changes to my computer just to get the
performance for which i have paid in full? will vista stop working on my pc
thinking its a pirated copy or sokmething of that sort? i had installed visat
just a couple of days back, not more than a week ago. any help will be highly
appreciated! warm wishes and regards!
