Hi All,

Recently my machine has started being very slow on
startup. I hear the hard drive working, making a set of
4 clicking sounds over and over again. I check Event
Viewer and see the message below. Any advice on how to
handle this problem. I can't run check disk because it
failes on 2% completed-

The device, \Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Thanks in advance for any help

Your hard drive is starting to get hardware failures. Backup any important
files and get a replacment hard drive.

Try running "chkdsk /f" from dos.
