i installed a new 80gb hard drive but also have a 10gb drive which has my
operating system on it. My 80gb drive only shows 31gb can you help me by
telling me where the other 49gb has gone and how to rectify this problem and
to have my full 80gb back. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Hi

I think you have you formated it as FAT32
You can go to disk management and format the free space to other partitions
If you just want one partition, you need to format it to NTFS
Right click My Computer/Manage/Disk Management, in the right pane, you can see the other free space on the slave drive (drive 1), create other partitions there
Or you can right click on the slave drive (may be E drive if you have installed CD-rom drive), then select format
Choose NFTS if you just want to have one partition on the slave drive
