I posted a message earlier asking why some hard drives grind and others don't
, because mine is quiet as a mouse and I am buying another one from a friend
and I said his grinds maybe not the right word to use,it sounds like it is
churning why is that? his is 2.6 ghz and mine is only 550 mhz if that matters
my hard drive is only 14 gig and his is 80 gig

Thank You

Those that grind, churn or make any other noise than hardly any, should be
avoided, replaced, dumped, crushed, dropped from a great height.. I have
three Maxtors that just exist and I like it that way..

It matters not how new or how fast on paper.. when a drive sounds like it is
grinding coffee beans or making butter, it is past it's sell by date..
