Hard drive space

I recently upgraded to XP. I have 2 hard drives C & D. C being a 40 G and D
being a 20G. I was using the D drive as a back up drive using a program to
back up daily and C being the main drive with all of my programs. After
updating to XP the drives have reversed. C is now the 20G and D is the 40G.
Now I keep getting the message low drive space on C. How can I get the drives
like they were and the programs on the correct drive? Thank you for any
assistance in advance

Are these IDE drives? Is the 40GB drive cabled as the master on the primary
IDE channel

Yes they are IDE drives and the 40G is cabled as primary
