hard drive space not reconized

i have a 200gb hard drive and a 30gb in my pc my
motherboard suports it but windows xp only says there is
only 131gb there and no 30 gb drive please can u tell me
how to resolve it

Hello

make sure that you have the driver jumpered correctly
that could be part of your problem

From what I've read, you need to enable 48bit addressing to read drives >
138GB. I can't tell you how, but check the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

enable large disk.
However does yr bios correctly identify disk, if not you need to update it
Is WinXP updated?
On the assumption you have allready formatted this disk, once enable large
drive is activated you will need to reformat or create a new partion to
recover the slack
