Add\remove programs, only remove ones you know you dont
use,if you havent seen it or dont know what it is leave
it alone.remove music, pictures that sort of things after
you make copies of them of course.May be time to upgrade
to a new HD.Find out how much space you need (start > My
Computer > right click on the C: drive > properties > the
capacity you'll need one bigger.CompUSA just had a 160
Gig for $59 after rebate, thats the best deal I ever seen!
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?
product_code=304907&pfp=BROWSE
Do a drive to drive copy put it in as master save your
old one as a backup, your back in BIZ.comes with the
software needed to replace and a detailed paper. The only
thing to remember is to get a wrist strap or hold onto
the fram of your computer while changing it.

This too, open you internet explorer > tools tab >
internet options > settings button > adjust slider bar
down to 1 mb and put the bullet in automaticly(this is
set at 610 MB for default thats more than a half a
Gig,you dont need that much,I have mine set at 1MB but I
have Cable, runs faster than dial-up,this setting is set
at 610 to help dial-up work faster,if you have dial-up
your pages may take 1 to 2 seconds more to load...only
the ones your revisiting the others will load the same)
that should turn off your error. There are some more
things you can do to free up space:control panel > switch
to classic view if you have to > power options icon >
hibernation tab > if enable hibernation box is checked
uncheck it and you'll save whatever it says it take to
hibernate.Mine is 2.3 Gigs wow thats a lot,but I have a
250 Gig hard drive(you can save a lot here)apply > ok >
go back to power schems tab and select system stand by
set it for what you would have set the hibernation
to.This is a last ditcher if you need more do this only
as a last resort:start > right click on my computer >
properties > system restore tab > check box for turn off
system restore > apply > OK ....you may want to do this
if your system is running fine now > turn it off > apply
OK > then go back and turn it back on > apply >
OK....this will empty all restore points that takes up a
lot of room also!Turning it back on should create a new
one for you and may free up 2 or more Gigs for you.Doing
these 3 things can save you up to 5 Gigs and keep you
running great.Happy computing!
