I have a 30 gig HD slave, that until the other day, I no problems accessing.
Now, for some reason when I click on the drive, it asks me if I want to
format it. If anyone has incountered this problem, let me know how gain
access to my fiels again.

Hello,

You should mind that even if the drive is formatted and files erased
there is a possibility, even a good one, if using powerful data
recovery tool, to bring them back. I've used Undelete in such a
situations, it never failed. I suppose that will help you.

Hi,

I doubt your drive is trash, so don't do anything drastic to it until
you try a few things with it. Go to your drives web site and download
their disk utility. That will tell you a lot about where you are now.

After you've done that come back here and let them know what you found.
There are some commands you can run from your cmd prompt, but first
things first.
