Hard drive problems

I have a WD 120 gig hard drive which was working perfectly
until I had to reinstall windows 2000. Now the hard drive
reads as being inaccessible when I double click the icon
in My Computer, and under disk management it is classified
as unreadable. The hard drive is correctly displayed in
the BIOS, and I've tried to see if there was anything I
could do while windows was in Safe Mode. In Safe Mode,
nothing happened differently. Anyone know how to alleviate
the problem?
