hard drive problem -sort of

hi all, i need to fit a normal hard drive into a dvd rom slot, the problem
is,the hard drive is too small and i cant mount it properly, does anyone
know if there are any "spacers" or anything about that could help fit this
thing in snugly?

If you are talking about the standard 5" or so space they have sure.
They come with the HDs usually and they sell them everywhere. There
are these metal brackets that fit on each side of the HD that have
screw holes on the inner side and outside. The inner for the screws
that hold the bracket and HD and the outside for the screws to hold
the bracket onto the PC case. You can often also get metal or plastic
pieces, rails to additionally fit on that brackets - the outside , if
your case has a feature to slide in the drives like the CDROM etc.
