hard drive info question? used partition magic mapper

D

Dr. Sysop

I used Partition Magic 8.02 to view my hard drives.

My main drive is a 120 gig & I see 7.8 mb unallocated I used windows xp for
format when I installed. Is this Normal? or can I use this space if I want
to?

I have a slave drive a 60 gig & it was my old drive & bootable with XP Pro &
that drive was cloned either I used MaxBlast 3 or Norton Ghost not sure
anyways I do not see a 7.8 unallocated on that drive but I made one with
partition magic. Do I actually need that 7.8mb of unallocated space I see
Ghost didn't create it when I cloned it form another drive.

Thanks

Hi,

It's normal and has to do with how the partition is aligned on the drive.
Just leave it be.
