Hard Drive Formatted / D: Drive will not start to read XP

Need assistance getting started with installing XP.
System initially had 98, we installed XP system crashed.
Formated hard drive - now need to know how to get the cd
rom to work again.

Thanks in advance
 
You have to go into the Bios and set the cdrom as first boot device.
